CLASSES

WHEN BOOKING:
If you are trying to book multiple spots and the inventory does not increase, that means there are insufficient spots available in the class. Please try another date before inquiring about availability. 'Out of Stock' means the date is fully booked. 

CLASS FORMAT:
An experienced glassblower will guide you through all the basics starting with safety, working at the bench, hand tools, gathering out of the furnace and colour application. Everything you need for class will be provided by the studio. Participants will have the opportunity learn the basics to working with hot glass. Students will be able to choose colours and create a solid paperweight and blown orb so they can experience both approaches to hot glass. Price includes shipping your completed pieces to you after class. Sessions are roughly 3 hour duration with a minimum of 3
participants, max 4-6 with two workspaces for larger classes. 

BEFORE CLASS:
Students must arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class start time to sign a safety waiver and get acquainted
with the studio. Bring a water bottle and a snack, come ready to learn!
Closed toed shoes must be worn in the workshop. No loose or flowing clothing - cotton or natural
fibers are a must. Please no leggings or synthetic fibers. Long hair should be tied back. The studio
will provide safety glasses but you can wear your glasses if you’d like.
Students must be over 14 years of age and students under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult or
guardian.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Due to limited availability, we cannot accommodate rescheduling requests at this time.  Cancellations will receive full refund up to two weeks before class time. Less than two weeks notice, we can offer a 50% refund. No refunds available for cancellations less than 72 hrs from class time.

Hothaus studio reserves the right to deny participation and not issue a refund if you arrive in improper
attire, more than 30 minutes late, or appear ‘under the influence’ of drugs/alcohol. If any COVID related circumstances arise and we need to cancel or reschedule a class, the studio will accommodate reschedules and offer refunds if you wish. If the class minimum number of participants is not met 48 hours before it is due to start, we will contact you to reschedule your class.

Our refund or cancellation policy can change at any time without notice.

AFTER CLASS:
Glass pieces will need to slowly cool for about 12-14 hrs once class finishes. Because we do not
keep regular hours for collection at the studio, the price of the class includes packing and shipping
your pieces (within Australia.) Pieces will be shipped out within 5-10 business days.
