Service Description

$330per student // Ages 14+ Have you taken one or two glassblowing classes and want to build some foundation skills? Enrol in our FUNdamentals class to practice the basics of gathering, assisting, and creating your own vessel for drinks or flowers. This course is designed to be taken multiple times for the enthusiast or beginner glassblower. Work in a group of three (max per bench) to learn the fundamental building blocks of blowing glass, team dynamics, and turning an idea into reality! All the materials you need will be provided, bring a water bottle, snack, and a pen & paper to make the most out of your experience. If you do not have previous glassblowing experience (at our studio or another one) please contact us about your goals/interest in the class before signing up. Previous experience is necessary. Class runs for 3-3.5 hrs and each student can expect to create one vessel, as this is an education focused workshop. BEFORE CLASS: Students must arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class start time to sign a safety waiver and get acquainted with the studio. Bring a water bottle and a snack, come ready to learn! Closed toed shoes must be worn in the workshop. No loose or flowing clothing - cotton or natural fibres are a must. Please no leggings or synthetic fibres. Long hair should be tied back. The studio will provide safety glasses but you can wear your glasses if you’d like. CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING, REFUNDS: Refunds or reschedules will be issued for student cancellations up to two weeks before class. Within 2 weeks we can offer a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 48 hrs of class time. If the class minimum number of participants is not met 48 hours before it is due to start, we will contact you to reschedule your class. Hothaus studio reserves the right to deny participation and not issue a refund if you arrive in improper attire, more than 30 minutes late, or appear ‘under the influence’ of drugs/alcohol. AFTER CLASS: Glass pieces will need to slowly cool for about 12-14 hrs once class finishes. Because we do not keep regular hours for collection at the studio, the price of the class includes packing and shipping your pieces (within Australia.) Cancellation Policy

Please do your best to honor your booking – Cancellations will receive full refund up to 2 weeks before class time. Within a week of class we can offer 50% refund up to 72 hrs before class. No refunds available for cancellations less than 72 hrs from class time. Hothaus studio reserves the right to deny participation and not issue a refund if you arrive in improper attire, more than 30 minutes late, or appear ‘under the influence’ of drugs/alcohol. If any COVID related circumstances arise and we need to cancel or reschedule a class, the studio will accommodate reschedules and offer refunds if you wish. If the class minimum number of participants is not met 48 hours before it is due to start, we will contact you to reschedule your class.
